Afterlife

This earth has shuddered and the sky weeps. The sun and moon hide their faces in grief. It is done. The cracks of the whip are heard from afar. The mistress returns.

God and me

There's this thread in pinoyg4m.com  that started out as a venue to discuss atheism and let to the topic of religious beliefs. I have seldom posted a response and a member commented in such a way implying that I had no stand. And I stand to what I said: I'll eventually revert to Voltaire: Si Dieu n'existait pas, il faudrait l'inventer (If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him). Just like a lot of people from our generation, I am agnostic. It is a frim belief that "human reason is incapable of providing sufficient rational grounds to justify knowledge that God exists or does not." I've been born Roman Catholic, grew up in a Protestant household  and, at some point, was a Muslim. So I can say that I have a good background to make a decision aside from some knowledge I have gained from research. Listening to Adele made me doubt of some things i'm in right now... Then i remember how it felt to hold his hand, kiss his lips and the sparkle in his eyes when he smiles. i don't doubt what i feel for him, i just miss him. that's all.

Points of View

Whenever we get into a situation where our reasoning and decision making capabilities are clouded by our biases, it's natural for us to turn to people with opinions we trust and respect. A fresh set of eyes and a better look at the bigger picture can really help in realizing our next steps.

Habang nagpuputukan sa Estados Unidos, naglalagukan naman kame ng alak sa Antipolo ng buong account namin . Fourth of July o Independence Day sa kanila kaya pahinga rin ang kanilang mga pahinante dito sa ating third world country. Thank God I'm in a business unit program.
